Who we are
Solar123 (“we”, “us”) is a solar advisory and lead-generation service based in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. We are the controller of the personal data you give us through this website. Contact us at sales@solar123.ie or 089 450 4544.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we collect your name, email address, phone number, Eircode or area, property type, what you are looking for, whether you want help with grants, and anything you add in the message box. You may also choose to tell us which social welfare payment you receive, so we can explain which grants may be relevant. This question is optional.
Please do not send us PPS numbers, welfare documents, bank details or other identity documents through our website. We do not need them.
Why we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and explain your solar and grant options.
- To help you request quotations from solar installers, where you have agreed.
- To keep records of our enquiries and to run and improve our website and service.
Our legal basis is your consent (which you give by ticking the box on our form) and our legitimate interest in running a lead service responsibly. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Sharing your details with installers
If you agree, we share the details from your enquiry with SEAI-registered solar installers so they can contact you and provide quotations. Installers may pay Solar123 for enquiries we pass to them. Once an installer receives your details, they handle them as their own data controller, under their own privacy policy. We do not sell your details for other purposes.
Other recipients
We use service providers such as website hosting and email providers to run this website and handle your enquiry. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them for the purposes above, and then delete or anonymise them. Ask us if you would like your details removed sooner.
Your rights
Under data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to its use, ask for it in a portable form and withdraw consent. Email sales@solar123.ie to use these rights. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
